Tonight opening up for the legendary Judas Priest adding an electrifying jolt to the evening's proceedings will be none other than Phil Campbell and The Bastard Sons. Known for their high-octane, no-nonsense rock 'n' roll, the Welsh powerhouse, fronted by the iconic ex-Motorhead guitarist Phil Campbell and his talented sons, they were the perfect choice to ignite the crowds here this evening. Playing iconic songs such as 'Step Into the Fire', and 'Road Crew', this band really knows how to get the crowds pumped up.

Their set was a masterclass in classic rock energy, delivering powerful riffs and anthemic choruses that perfectly warmed up the thousands gathered here before the Metal Gods themselves take to the stage, setting an exhilarating tone for what was undoubtedly a standout concert this summer.

What a monumental night of heavy metal and classic rock when the legendary Judas Priest descended upon the picturesque Scarborough Open Air Theatre on July 23rd, 2025. Judas Priest Rob Halford states to the crowd 'its good to be home'. He says ' we have been all over Europe, everywhere you could imagine that's the power of metal', crowds erupting into cheers. He says 'we have been looking forward to our 2 shows back here in the UK in Scarborough and the O2 in London'. He then goes on to say 'Its been tough the last 24 hours right, its been tough, but he would want us to be doing this, he would want us to be together, he would want us to be having a good time. We love you Ozzy'.

This led the crowds to start chanting 'Ozzy, Ozzy, Ozzy'. It brought a tear to my eye, as we aren't just heavy metal fans, we are a family. The news of Ozzy's passing hit us all hard, we are not ok!

His music that brought us all together, that paved the pathway for other bands, musicians and artists.

Ozzy was a legend in his right, but now the Prince Of Darkness is at rest and his legacy will live on forever.

Rob goes on to say this next track is about him and all the other greats that we have lost, that music lives forever. They used to be down here on the earth plain but now they are up in the sky plane as they call it'. 'This next one is Giants In The Sky'. What a wonderful tribute to all the musical legends we have lost!

The event as a whole was just epic, from start to finish, the bands played superb, the venue was amazing, i think it's what we all needed as a release after such a dark week losing one of the greatest's of all time.
