Dan Byrne Celebrates Landmark Debut Album Launch with Intimate UK Tour, May 22nd marked a monumental milestone in the career of singer-songwriter Dan Byrne, as he officially unleashed his long-awaited debut studio album, This Is Where The Show Begins.
To celebrate the release, Byrne has been traveling the UK on a special, whirlwind acoustic record store tour.
The run of shows has offered fans a unique, stripped-back experience, featuring live performances, album signings, and deep-dive Q&A sessions, all building momentum toward a high-octane electric headline show in Liverpool.
The momentum continued May 23rd, as Byrne brought his tour to the beloved independent record shop, Wax and Beans.
The intimate set captivated those in attendance, opening with a powerful rendition of Bon Jovi’s "Wanted Dead or Alive" before shifting into the raw, emotive sounds of his own tracks, "Saviour" and "She’s The Devil."
Following the performance, Byrne spent time connecting with fans, signing merchandise, and sharing the excitement of the release.
The event also highlighted the rock community's heart for charity.
A local photographer, who had captured striking images of Byrne performing at the 2025 Firevolt Rock Festival in Stockport, brought along a set of prints which Dan signed.
These photos have been generously donated to the silent auction at this year's SOS Festival in Manchester, with all proceeds dedicated to Parkinson’s UK.
SOS Festival which first started at Radcliffe Civic Hall —a staple of the scene now in its 17th year—is set to take place July 3rd–5th, 2026, at Whittles Tokyo in Oldham.
Having performed at the festival previously, Dan Byrne is a loud advocate for the event and is fully behind the auction, championing the importance of raising funds for such a vital cause.
Reflecting on the whirlwind of the last few days, Dan Byrne took a moment to express his gratitude to those who have made this dream a reality:
“It’s finally here… my debut album, 'This Is Where The Show Begins', is OUT NOW!
I genuinely don’t know how to put this feeling into words. This project has been my life for a very long time, and today, it finally belongs to all of you.
This record is the biggest moment of my career, and I am so incredibly proud of every single person who helped bring it to life. To those who have supported me from the very beginning, your belief in me means the world.
Whether you are streaming the record, picking up a copy on vinyl or CD, posting photos, or sharing my songs with your friends—thank you.
Your support is the fuel that keeps this dream moving. This is where the show begins!”
Another stellar set unfolds here tonight at Wax and Beans, cementing its reputation as the beating heart of Bury’s live music scene.
