MEGACONLIVE Manchester - Day #1

I headed down to what used to be known formerly as GMEX Convention Centre in Manchester, now known as Manchester Central in the heart of Manchester.
I took the eldest out to one of our favourite annual outings, she loves going to conventions where people are all dressed up as various characters. She loves the brightly coloured costumes and hair styles that many fans donned.
This convention was one we hadn't been to before as we strayed away from our usual Comic Con at Bowlers in Trafford, to try MegaConLive here in Manchester.
I would say this was a massive hit for my eldest as she loved all the various influencers, and newer characters from programmes that she enjoys watching.
I would also say the selfies/photos and autographs for guests at this convention were a lot cheaper at this event compared to other conventions/events we had previously tried before! Well worth the money!

This ingenious convention masterfully unites a various array of beloved shows, including the self titled MegaCon Live, Social in the City, ToKFEST, and the lively Kids MegaZone, all under one huge roof for a MEGA experience that will be talked about for years to come.
The various backdrops and areas to do selfies/tiktoks were dotted about the convention, allowing for some creators to get their filming done on site.
The general public are invited to leap right into a captivating universe celebrating everything from movies, anime, manga, and comics to content creation, cosplay, and much, much more.
It's a fun-filled celebration designed for the whole family, offering endless entertainment and discovery.
The star-studded line-up boasts incredible celebrity guests, featuring the iconic Marina Sirtis from Star Trek, Sean Chiplock, the voice actor behind characters in the Amazing Digital Circus, and Jenny Yokoburi, the talented voice actress bringing Hello Kitty and Friends characters like Kuromi and Cinnamoroll to life. as well as Paul McGann who played Dr Who and Luther and many more.
We caught up with Sean Chiplock from 'Amazing Digital Circus' , this actually made my daughters entire year!

The array of vendors at MegaConLive is arguably the beating heart of the convention its just colossal, a sprawling, vibrant marketplace teeming with an incredible array of sellers catering to every imaginable fandom.
Those in attendance can wander through aisles laden with everything from independent sellers showcasing original pieces & fan art prints, often available for custom commissions, to massive booths filled with official merch like exclusive action figures, Funko Pops, and apparel from major studios.
You'll find tables laden with collectibles, and a wide array of creators selling unique, handmade crafts, custom cosplay props, beautiful unique jewellery, enamel pins, many of which are exclusive to the convention itself.
This vast yet intoxicating environment is a treasure trove, which draws in the crowds who spend hours perusing, discovering hidden gems, and inevitably leaving with bags full of new collectibles, apparel, and cherished memories. I know i did, as my bank accounts now crying due to me not being able to resist a great bargain or 3!
